Sam Cifelli completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Marni Task at the Yoga Room in Little Italy in June 2023, and completed her 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Sharada Jennifer Lenhart at Satsang Yoga in December 2024. When she started out on the yoga path, ever curious by nature, she was only seeking a better understanding of the practice that was slowly but surely changing her life. She didn’t expect to become a teacher, but realized after training that this magical, transformational practice had to be shared with others.

Sam believes in the transformative power of breath and movement, combined with a strong desire to heal and grow. Yoga found her at a time when she was being asked to slow down but chose not to listen. Sometimes, the universe will shake things up to wake you up, and she is forever grateful for all of the twists and turns that led her to her mat.

In Sam’s classes, expect to be welcomed and seen just as you are, move and breathe in community, and to find magic in learning how to quiet your mind. You will be taught how to take what you are learning on your mat and apply it to all aspects of your day to day life, all while having a good laugh or two!

Sam is passionate about learning and growing in her Yoga practice and sound healing, seeking longevity and good health through daily movement and mindfulness, enjoying live music, and time spent with her pup outdoors. She hopes to share her experiences and what she has learned with others to help them on their journey to Self discovery.

What's the best advice someone has ever given you?

You must learn to truly love yourself first before you can expect love from others. You set the standard for how others treat you so if you want love, be love.

What are you most grateful for?

Having a sound body and mind that allows me to move freely and independently every single day.

What is a quote you live by or what is your favorite quote?

Thankful, grateful and blessed. This is my mantra and it’s on a plaque in my house that I walk by and see every single day as a reminder.

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

"It was a hell of a ride, but you did good!"
