Melissa is a yoga teacher who brings together mindful movement, breath, and nervous-system–aware practices to support both body and mind. By day, she works as a school psychologist, a role that deeply informs her trauma-informed, compassionate approach to teaching yoga. Her classes are thoughtfully paced, accessible, and grounding—offering students space to move with intention, soften stress, and reconnect with themselves.

Melissa has been teaching yoga for over five years and is a registered E-RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance. She completed both her 200-hour and 300-hour teacher trainings with Cathy Madeo Yoga, where she developed a strong foundation in functional movement, cueing with clarity, and creating inclusive, supportive class environments. Melissa offers all types of classes to her students. Her favorites are Yin, Vinyasa and Gentle flows.

Melissa can also supplement classes with sound bath experiences, weaving the healing qualities of sound into her classes to promote deep relaxation and restoration. Off the mat, Melissa is a proud mom of three adult children, a grateful partner to her wonderful husband, Chris, and a devoted caretaker to many beloved fur babies. She believes yoga is not about perfection or peak poses, but about presence, balance, and meeting yourself exactly where you are—both on and off the mat.
